Passing Tiger Lilly Florist on the way home every day is just about one of my favorite things. Whether their shop is fully stocked or stripped from a wedding party coming through, the bright vibrant colors peaking out through the windows are always a beautiful thing to see. You can even smell the fresh petals when they leave the doors open if you're walking down Spring St. in Charleston, SC. I contacted shop manager, and after a little bit anxious waiting from my end, she responded and said that the owners, Clara and Manny Gonzalez thought it would be a great opportunity to work together.
A local model that I often use as my muse, graciously stepped in short notice, to pose among the flowers. I knew having her in a white dress would make the colors just pop! Her soft and porcelain like beauty did just that and provided an elegant contrast against the frame of greens and soft pastel colors.
Tiger Lilly was founded in 1996 when the couple was inspired by the beauty and sophistication of Charleston. Their goal was the become the best florist in Charleston. Since then their company has blossomed a second location and they have been voted Charleston's number one florist every year since 2000.
Tiger Lilly has won many awards and been recognized from The Charleston Metro Chamber of Commerce to Florist Review Magazine and everything in between. In 2009 Clara Gonzales was a finalist in the CEO Category of the Influential Women in Business presented by the Charleston Regional Business Journal.
